Colossians 3:12 and 14 on the back as a list of what to put on, with WALK IN LOVE in burgundy. The circle Members crest on the left chest.
“Put on therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection.”
Colossians 3:12-14, World English Bible
The lie it answers: “Dress to impress.” Dress to impress, they say, and the outfit becomes the point. Colossians 3 has a wardrobe too: compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, perseverance, forgiveness, and over all of it, love. A cardigan you put on every morning, with the list of what to put on.
The context. Paul is writing to believers in Colossae about the new life they already have in Christ (3:1-4). The clothing here isn't to earn that life; it's what people who are already chosen, holy and beloved get dressed in.
