“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”
Revelation 22:13, World English Bible
The lie it answers: “Nobody knows how this ends.” Life can feel like a story with no author. In the last chapter of the Bible, Jesus says he is the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. He's both ends of the book.
The context. Alpha and Omega are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet, the letters John wrote with. Revelation 22:13 is Jesus speaking in the final chapter, and it repeats what the Lord God says at the very start of the book (1:8). The whole book is bracketed by the same claim. The Α and Ω on the back are lettering, not a quotation.
