“They overcame him because of the Lamb’s blood, and because of the word of their testimony. They didn’t love their life, even to death.”
Revelation 12:11, World English Bible
The lie it answers: “Nobody needs your story.” We're told influence takes a following. Revelation 12:11 names two things that beat the accuser: the Lamb's blood and the word of their testimony. Your testimony is you saying what Jesus did for you. It is the oldest content there is, and it never needed a platform.
The context. Revelation 12 pictures the accuser thrown down (12:9-10). Verse 11 says how believers overcame him: because of the Lamb's blood, because of the word of their testimony, and because they didn't love their own lives even to death. The Greek word behind testimony is the root of our word martyr; witness has always cost something. Wear it as a reminder that the victory is the Lamb's and the story is yours to tell.
