Printed, not embroidered. Read the back, then the sleeves.
A woodcut of outstretched wings across the back with Psalm 91:4 wrapped around you: the first line runs down the left sleeve, the second sits under the wings, the third runs down the right sleeve. The circle Members crest on the chest.
“He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart.”
Psalm 91:4, World English Bible
The lie it answers: “You're alone and exposed.” Winter has a way of making you feel exposed, and the culture says that's just how it is: you're on your own, so armour up. Psalm 91 answers with a bird spreading her wings over her young. Cover, refuge, a shield. You aren't standing in the cold by yourself.
The context. Psalm 91 is a song of trust. It opens: “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” Verse 4 turns that shadow into feathers: the picture is a mother bird, not a fortress, and the shelter is God himself.
