Est. A.D. 28. The club dates itself from the start of Jesus' ministry (Luke 3:1, 3:23), because that is when the invitation went out. Everything since is just members telling the next person.

Why a club. Clubs usually have a line out front and somebody deciding who gets in. This one has no velvet rope. Grace means the membership fee is already paid, so the mark isn't a badge you earned. It's a reminder of who you belong to.
