Read the back.

1 Peter 3:9 on the back, edited in red pen: “evil for evil” and “insult for insult” struck out, “but instead BLESSING” circled. The plural wordmark on the chest.

“not rendering evil for evil, or insult for insult; but instead blessing; knowing that to this were you called, that you may inherit a blessing.”
1 Peter 3:9, World English Bible

The lie it answers: “Give as good as you get.”

The context. Peter is writing to believers who are being insulted for their faith. His instruction isn’t to take it quietly. It’s to refuse the trade: no evil for evil, no insult for insult, and to bless instead, because blessing is what they were called to (the verse goes on to say so). The red pen crosses out the retaliation, never the person.
