THINGS THAT CAN'T SEPARATE YOU across the shoulders, then Romans 8:38-39 set as a list. Every named thing, from death to any other created thing, is struck through by hand. What is left standing is God's love, circled in red, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Up front, just the †CLUB mark.
“For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from God’s love, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:38-39, World English Bible
The context. This is the end of Romans 8, right after Paul asks who could separate us from the love of Christ and lists trouble, persecution, hunger and the sword. He is writing to believers in Rome who would face every one of those. His answer is not that hard things won't happen. It is that none of them, and nothing else God made, can cut a believer off from God's love in Christ.
